Calendar of Events
The Office of Community Involvement strives to connect
students with local and national agencies in directed, meaningful,
quality volunteer experiences. Whether you are a single volunteer,
or a large group, we will assist you in finding a service
opportunity for you.
Some of our students give an hour of their time while others
volunteer weekly. In each case, volunteers learn from projects
dealing with poverty, the environment, youth, the elderly,
the disabled, etc.
Academic credit is not offered directly, but hours may be
eligible for fulfill service requirements for an organization
of class.
Why Get Involved?
“Volunteering makes me feel good about both myself
and my community. I am fortunate for all that I have, and
it’s nice to be able to give back.”
- Andrea Canagsaby
“MU Students should volunteer because their help is
really needed and wanted. There are so many organizations
that are just crying out for volunteer help. Volunteering
is very, very fulfilling. It is also fun to see that you’ve
made an improvement in someone else’s life.”
- Heath Norton
