History

In 1999, the Center for Community Involvement was created from a joint effort between the Department of Student Life and the University YMCA. Volunteer opportunities were coordinated and recruited through this office. In 2001, the center was dissolved. Therefore, the Department of Student Life started up The Office of Community Involvement in order to continue to meet the volunteer needs of the students.
