S.T.A.R. = Stronger Together Against Relationship and Sexual Violence

STAR = Stronger Together Against Relationship and Sexual Violence is a student organization that brings students together to plan, organize and coordinate campus events and educational programs designed to raise general awareness of relationship and sexual violence.
Mission Statement: The purpose of STAR is to welcome anyone who is interested in expanding relationship and sexual violence awareness on the University of Missouri- Columbia campus. The goals of the non-profit, nondiscriminatory student organization are to:
- Increase awareness and knowledge about relationship and sexual violence by creating and sponsoring various educational events and programs.
- Decrease the prevalence of rape and relationship violence through increased education and awareness
- Increase accessibility to information and resources through outreach education
- Address multicultural and gender issues as they relate to relationship and sexual violence.
- Provide support and resources to violence survivors as well as their friends and family.
What does STAR Do?
STAR is a student organization that promotes awareness through creating educational programs and events for the MU campus about relationship and sexual violence.
Who is STAR?
Any student interested in educating the MU campus about the dangers of relationship and sexual violence.
