About Us

The Women’s Center offers extensive programs including:

  • Interactive discussions
  • Workshops and weekly groups
  • Outreach programs for residence halls, fraternities and sororities, classes and community organizations on important topics such as:
    1. Rape and Sexual Violence
    2. Violence in Relationships
    3. Body Image and Eating Disorders
    4. Personal Growth and Awareness
    5. Self-Esteem
    6. Gender Socialization
    7. Feminism

About Us

The Women’s Center strives to provide information to interested individuals in the community. Our extensive resources include:

  • Over 2300 volume library of books and periodicals on women’s/gender issues
  • Vertical files containing clippings and research for academic or personal use
  • Audio recordings of over 1200 Women’s Center programs
  • Film, video, and ‘zine libraries
  • Local and national referral information
The resources at the Women’s Center are maintained by private donations. Contributions are greatly appreciated.

About UsThe Center offers individual and group counseling to MU students, and provides resource and referral information for services on campus and in the community. The Center provides volunteer and work-study opportunities. The Women’s Center lounge may be scheduled for group meetings.
